Innovation areas are places where new ideas, new teams and start-ups are hosted, include both Incubators, Accelerators and Co-working spaces but also any field that provides support services for startups or innovative actions.

Architectural Aluminium Academy

It is a center of excellence created for professionals in the field of Architectural Aluminium Systems who wish to improve their constructions and the quality of their finished products in order to offer the best possible service. The most important thing, however, lies in the fact that this is a project transmitting the culture of cooperation between us and our partners, with joint success as the main goal of this journey.

It is a partnership of successful companies in the sector (Alumil, GLM, etc.), high-tech companies (D-Cube, Atlantis Engineering), and universities (Aristotle University, University of Macedonia).

 I4byDesign

The I4byDesign Competence Center, with a clear focus on Industry 4.0 technologies, provides strategic and operational support to Greek manufacturing companies, aiming at the digital and technological transformation of their industrial processes. Through a wide range of methodologies, digital tools, and services it reshapes their organizational, business, and strategic models, while maintaining a high level of competitiveness. I4byDesign acts as an innovation cluster in the field of Industry 4.0 and Logistics 4.0 and is comprised of 1 Research Center and 22 Greek companies, hence connecting research to businesses. Acts as a technical partner for manufacturing companies wishing to manage innovation activities, technology transfer, applied research, and direct implementation of 4.0 tools.

I4byDesign’s vision is to combine the know-how, experience, and technological expertise of its members on Industry 4.0 and Logistics 4.0, to guide companies towards their digital transformation, the adoption of circular economy strategies, and the optimization of their supply chain. The mission of the I4byDesign Competence Center is to accelerate the process of digital and technological transformation of domestic and international manufacturing companies, with an emphasis on SMEs.

Hellenic Design Centre

The Hellenic Design Centre (HDC) was founded in 2017 by the Business and Cultural Development Centre (KEPA) and is the first and most experienced organisation in Greece that provides integrated Design support services to private and public sector organisations, to assist them in problem solving and in driving innovation into products, services and processes by putting people in the centre of the whole procedure.

The new premises of Hellenic Design Centre provide spaces for co-working, meetings and events that inspire creativity and co-creation, state-of-the-art equipment to meet daily needs and the design of new products, a lending library and access to Design Thinking methodology tools.

HUBit SKG

HUBit SKG is a creative hub addressed to young and creative people, startups, experts in cultural & creative community and local organisations in general, providing infrastructure and equipment, supporting services for networking and development, as well as spaces for co-working and events/meetings.

The scope of HUBit SKG, this newly established entrepreneurship supporting structure of the Business and Cultural Development Centre (KEPA), is to link Cultural & Creative Industries with ICT and Tourism, which will create synergies for the development of new products and services.

Walk AUTh INNOVATION ACCELERATOR

The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center of Aristotle University, Walk | AUTh Innovation Accelerator, was created to highlight AUTh’s innovation ecosystem and support students, graduates and academic staff in bringing their ideas to society in business terms.

Through Walk’s accelerator program, you will explore whether your idea is feasible and in what ways it can be implemented in the market. You will receive all the necessary supplies through training programs, masterclasses, competitions, conferences and personalized guidance from experienced coaches and mentors.

coho – the coworking home

coho – the coworking home is a dynamically developing network of spaces for work, collaboration and professional development. Here, professionals and business start-ups find all necessary infrastructure, remarkable networking opportunities, and affordable prices. There are two locations in the center of Thessaloniki, coho and coho city.

The Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation is the only legally qualified institution for the protection of inventions and industrial designs. It also provides technological information from worldwide patent databases.

It is a leading hub for start-ups and a catalyst for the growth of the local innovation ecosystem. Its goal is to help entrepreneurs bring innovative ideas to market through an acceleration program that includes training, coaching, mentoring, and access to funds.

It is a Greek-based Incubator running also a seed investment fund for tech and science startups.
